Neil was the most inspiring, genuine and kind hearted man you could ever meet. He always offered words of encouragement and wisdom which motivated you to achieve your dreams. I will always treasure the endless list of wonderful memories.
I used to love walking or biking around the beautiful Maer Hills, Neil's other back garden, where he pointed out all of the birds and wildlife. He always told such detailed and hilarious stories which captivated his audience. He had a way of connecting with everyone he spoke to and had time and respect for everyone. He was so talented in a range of pursuits, and passionate too. Husband, Dad, Grandad, Sportsman, gardener, writer, poet, storyteller, naturalist, bird-watcher, businessman, coach, 'Jungle curry' maker (He definitely made the recipe up every time!)...Legend. He cooked a bloody good BBQ too. Less said about the fireworks on bonfire night though!
Neil was always so full of life and it is a real honour to have known him and spent so much splendid time with him. Sending my deepest condolences and all my love to the Jackson family. X
