Dedicated to the memory of Neil Jackson

This site is a tribute to Neil Jackson, who was born in Newcastle under Lyme on September 05, 1950. Neil was first and foremost all about his family. Happily married to Jan for 46 years, dad to Andy, Jono and Emma and grandad to Thomas and Leo. He was immensely proud of every one of them.

He was a dedicated Stoke City fan for 60 years but enjoyed all sports. He was passionate about all wildlife, particularly birds and he loved nothing more than watching the birds in his beautiful garden. Neil was also a successful businessman, being Managing Director of every company he ever worked at. He particularly enjoyed working as a consultant for Phillips Screw Co in recent years alongside his sons. This also allowed him to assist Emma with her athletics training and travel all over the world to proudly watch her run for Great Britain.

He was known for helping and supporting others wherever he could. Also his very quick wit and sense of humour is legendary. Neil is very much loved and will always be remembered.

Neil, today we should have been celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary but you were sadly taken from me. I have so very many happy memories of our wedding day & the many blissful years that followed so today will be spent in quiet contemplation of the joy you brought into my life. You may not physically be with me anymore but spiritually you most definitely are. I see your many traits, mannerisms, humour & looks within your children & grandchildren almost every day. Your recent birthday, just 2 days ago, was again cause for a full family gathering & as ever we raised a glass in your memory. And while Bonnie has never met you, she sang a rousing Happy Birthday to Granddad who she recognises from the many photos of you around our home. Rest assured Neil , you will never be forgotten & we all love and miss you still 🥰 Jan xxxx

Well Dad, we finally did it! Alex and I got married after 14 years of being togther, it was a wonderful day spent with our great family and friends. We were all so gutted that you never got to see it happen, but, we did however include you as much as we could, from all of the speeches to your memorial bench, you are always in our thoughts and remembered with so much love. I know you were looking down on us smiling, Dad, proud as punch. Love you always Jono, Alex, Leo & Bonnie xxxx

Three years since you left us Neil & fittingly, just arrived in the post, is a certificate thanking us for raising over £7,500 for The Brain Tumour Charity in your memory. This amazing amount of money was donated by your family , friends & colleagues all wishing to pay their tributes to you. Absolutely brilliant for someone who was just an ordinary family guy. But as we all know Neil, you were never, ever ordinary in any aspect of your life! We all love & miss you so very much & as always will be getting together as your family to raise a glass to you. Sleep tight Neil. ❤️‍🩹Jan xxxxx
